GL Accountant

We are supporting an international industrial group in the search for a GL Accountant to join the Finance team on a maternity cover. Given the seniority and strategic importance of the role, the company is open to evaluating a permanent contract for profiles fully aligned with the needs of the Finance function.

The role

We are supporting an international industrial group in the search for a GL Accountant to join the Finance team on a maternity cover.

Given the seniority and strategic importance of the role, the company is open to evaluating a permanent contract for profiles fully aligned with the needs of the Finance function.

The role acts as a key link between accounting operations and financial reporting, within an international and structured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS / US GAAP and internal policies

• Oversee fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings

• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax and Group Finance teams

• Support internal and external audits

• Interact with international stakeholders on a regular basis

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in Accounting / GL roles

• Strong hands-on experience with general ledger and closing activities

• Good knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP

• Fluent English is essential (daily use in an international context)

• Italian fluent

• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Excel

• Autonomous, structured and reliable professional, comfortable in complex organizations
