Product Manager

Multinational company operating in the electromechanical components sector is looking for a Product Manager to implement its Italian structure.

Responsibilities

The resource will contribute to the management of Client’s assigned products, in a dynamic, international and multicultural context.

Specifically, it will be responsible for the management of the following activities:

• Manage the product group life-cycle according to company targets.
• Plans the strategic development of the assigned product portfolio, in line with the approved product strategy.
• Evaluates concepts with respect to technological and commercial aspects and enhancements to existing products.
• Ensures constant observation and analysis of relevant markets, technology and product trends creates regular reports on innovative product concepts.
• Report identified relevant product characteristics, which are of customer and market value.
• Manage the Innovation development activities ensuring the correct execution and meeting the defined targets (time, cost and performance).
• Analyses initial product cost structure and product bench-marking if required supported by tests.
• Write the product specifications according to the product defined.
• Prepare the technical BIDs.
• Identifies and contribute potentials for optimisation and sets-up action road-maps to be agreed by management.
• Designs and proposes cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardisation, key data, etc.).
• Support Marketing, problem solving and Engineering product related activities.
• Manage the product obsolescence aspects.
• Prepare, analyse and summarise monthly the performance KPIs.

Experience & Education

• Degree in Electrical or similar.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Solid experience (5 years) in a similar role in a multi-product manufacturing company or operating in the railway sector.
