Our client:

Our client is a leading global multinational company specializing in the engineering, design and production of

complex electromechanical systems.

Purpose of the role:

Manages the preliminary and executive design phases related to the development of new products and the

optimization of existing ones. He/she will be responsible for managing the R&D department - DC Contactor

reporting directly to the Technical Director.

Main responsibilities:

- Leading and planning the activities of a design team consisting of engineers and technicians

- Supervising the troubleshooting process, providing expertise and guidance in solving problems arising from faults

- Proposes and guides the implementation of technical and commercial solutions according to requirement specifications

- Check of the technical documentation (purchase documents, test procedures, calculation documents, etc.)

- Follows technical development, interfacing with other company functions

- Defines testing, validation and system acceptance procedures

- Providing the necessary support to production if required

The ideal profile meets the following requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering

- At least 10 years in R&D design roles for electromechanical equipment, preferably DC applications

- Proficient use of mechanical and electrical CAD (2D and 3D)

- Excellent use of calculation and simulation tools (structural finite element analysis, electrical simulation, electromagnetic simulation, CFD)

- Excellent ability to analyze and define technical specifications;

- Deep sensitivity to the economic aspect of technical choices made in a VAVE perspective

- Excellent use of company tools (SAP, PLM Windchill, CREO)

- Excellent knowledge of DFMEA, LCC, RAMS analyses

- Use of Microsoft Office SW packages

- Proven methodology in following the steps of the innovation process

- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English

Fundamental theoretical knowledge:

- Electrical circuits

- Electrical and electromechanical components

- Knowledge of the calculation criteria for selecting the components of an electrical circuit

- Basic knowledge of electronic circuits

- Magnetic circuits

- Problems related to electric arc and its extinction

- Verification of 2D and 3D drawings, specifications and calculation analyses, and relevant approvals
