SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – WEARABLE Our client is specialises in the production of technical safety equipment for technical and safety clothing for a multitude of sports. SCOPE OF THE ROLE: Foster the expertise for the software, contributing to the definition of company objectives and ensuring his development up to the efficient and timely production and respect of quality standards.
MAIN RESPONSBILITIES:
- Build, manage, and develop a team of Software Engineers and Data/Research Scientists;
- Represent the customers during technical decision-making, balance resourcing and financial cost trade-off and own delivery of solutions;
- Contribute to road map definition in collaboration with technical and product leadership;
- Identify and make data-driven decisions within the context of overall company objectives;
- Review and provide feedback on your team’s technical design documents, code and test plans;
- Work with others in engineering management to drive best practices in software development, testing and production deployment.
COMPETENCIES OF THE ROLE:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Required over 5 years of experience leading a software development team (through the full development life cycle);
- Required over 10 years of software development experience;
- Required experience in developing highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems;
- Good knowledge in battery powered systems, in low power control systems and in RTOS systems;
- Good knowledge in multi-axial sensing systems (accelerometer, gyro, etc.);
- Required familiar with machine learning based on inertia measuring unit (IMU).
