Planning & Logistics Manager

For an international, dynamic and sustainable player in the food industry, we are looking for a "Planning & Logistics Manager" in Milan.

Your Tasks:

• Updating of forecast planning, in collaboration with sales and alignment with HQ;
• Improve the Italian forecasting system, integrating international guidelines in close collaboration with sales;
• Placing production orders and managing stock levels;
• Tracking and communicating order status to Sales and/or Account Team;
• Arranging delivery & inbound transport for different product groups;
• Keeping contact with the warehouses to prevent and solve any possible shipment issue;
• Negotiate contract with logistic service providers and manage the service level;
• Booking, processing of incoming orders, issue of invoices & order confirmations;
• Independent maintenance, accounting and documentation of condition agreements;
• Gathering of all relevant information, issuing of shipping documents and subsequent sharing with Customers and Partners involved;
• Maintenance of customer master data/hierarchies, prices and conditions in SAP.

Your profile:

• Master level education in economics or mathematics;
• Min. 5 years work experience in demand planning or supply chain recommended;
• Experience in the food industry;
• Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP;
• Excellent knowledge of English;
• Customer oriented;
• Team player and very good attention to detail;
• Comfortable and accurate with numbers;
• Friendly and open personality but assertive;
• Pro-active approach to solving problems.
