For a leading international organisation operating across multiple countries, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join the newly established finance function in Italy.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the financial administration of the Italian entity, ensuring accurate and timely accounting records.

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

Support periodic financial closings, tax returns and balance sheet reconciliations, including complex reconciliations and financial analyses.

Review and analyse financial records, identifying discrepancies and opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

Monitor financial processes and proactively recommend improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy and compliance.

Work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable ERP systems, helping to resolve issues and improve financial processes.

Handle routine accounting matters relating to Italian GAAP, IFRS, taxation and applicable financial regulations.

Ensure financial processes remain compliant with relevant statutory requirements and internal policies.

Collaborate with the wider international finance team and relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Contribute to the development of finance processes within a newly established Italian organisation.
Requirements
-
3+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting or finance.
-
Solid experience in financial accounting and financial administration.
-
Previous experience progressing from a Financial Administrative Assistant or similar finance support role.

Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is preferred.

Experience with financial closings, reconciliations and reporting.

Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a comparable platform.

Bachelor's degree or higher education in Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Experience gained within an international or multinational organisation is highly preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a hands-on and proactive approach.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an international finance team.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with an interest in building, improving and shaping new processes.
