A leading international company operating in the healthcare sector is looking for a Financial Controller to join its Finance team based in Milan.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance leadership team, the Financial Controller will support the management of Finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting, analysis and compliance with internal and external requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting monthly closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Preparing and analysing financial statements, KPIs and management reports.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Performing variance analysis and providing insights to support business decisions.
• Ensuring accuracy of accounting records and supporting general ledger activities.
• Monitoring accounts payable processes and supporting finance operations.
• Supporting audit activities and compliance requirements.
• Collaborating with different functions and international stakeholders.
• Contributing to finance transformation and process improvement projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
• Previous experience in Financial Controlling, Accounting or FP&A roles.
• Experience working in an international or multinational environment.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems/ERP tools.
• Fluent or good working knowledge of English.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with different stakeholders.

Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, FMCG or other regulated industries will be considered a plus.
