Our client is a well-established international company operating within the logistics and supply chain sector. To support the continued development of its Italian business, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager.
Reporting to the European leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Italian entity, ensuring operational excellence, financial control, and alignment with regional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the Italian business and its financial performance (P&L)
- Translate regional strategy into effective local execution
- Lead and develop the finance, operations, customer service and support functions
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management and compliance
- Ensure high levels of operational efficiency, service quality and customer satisfaction
- Drive collaboration across departments and foster a high-performance culture
- Act as the key link between the local organization and regional management
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business optimization
- Lead organizational development and change initiatives where required
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline
- At least 8–12 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience in a senior management, general management, finance leadership or business leadership role
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and business performance management
- Experience within logistics, transportation, supply chain, industrial services or related sectors is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills
- Experience working within an international and matrix-driven environment
