This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic multinational environment, working closely with both local leadership and the global finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the finance function in Italy while acting as a trusted business partner to international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Oversee general accounting activities in compliance with Italian GAAP.
• Coordinate revenue recognition activities with the global finance team.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and collection processes.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Coordinate the preparation of statutory financial statements and support external audits.
• Oversee local tax compliance in collaboration with external advisors and internal tax teams.
• Partner with FP&A and international finance teams to support business performance and decision-making.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and financial processes.
• Act as the key finance contact for both local management and international headquarters.

About You

We are looking for professionals with:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Approximately 6–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• Previous experience in multinational organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles (Italian GAAP) and statutory reporting.
• Solid understanding of local tax compliance.
• Experience managing the month-end close process.
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.
• English and Italian Fluent
• Previous experience managing or mentoring finance teams is highly desirable.

The following would be considered an advantage:

• Background in a Big Four accounting firm.
• Exposure to US GAAP.
• Experience within the real estate sector or other complex multinational environments.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, Coupa or FloQast.
